So, My oldest brother Dan has moved to Indiana, so it's a great excuse for all of us to get together. A couple weeks ago, Johnny came up from Virginia and we all hung out for the weekend. We played basketball, football and went bowling! Here are a very pictures of the

goof balls...literally!

Dan came down again this weekend and we hung out at Starbucks a lot, ate Sushi twice, played tennis and just had a great time catching up.
Ok, so after Dan left on Sunday I thought i would be a good mom and take my baby to get her teeth cleaned, for free! Well, I learned my lesson, that nothing in life is FREE! The vet some how convinced me that I needed to give Tootsie her Booster shot that day. Long story short, I gave in, they overdosed her, and she threw up, went into shock, stopped breathing, passed out, then had an IV put in both paws, a catheter stint put in, oxygen tube hooked up and pumped full of steroids just so she would survive! I waited for 3 hours to see if she would pull out of it, and when she was stable, I had to transport her to the Hospital where she spent the night. All day today she has slept, and been so cuddly, she doesn't want to get out of my arms, I haven't left the house, I've just cuddled her and counted my blessings that I haven't ever had to experience this kind of life threatening scare with a real child, or anyone for that matter.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS AND FAMILY!

Christmas 2008

This Christmas was sooo special. Jason and I didn't get to stay in Massachusetts very long, but at least the whole family was home. There is nothing I love more than to be with my husband, BOTH my brothers, my dad and my grandfather...all the boys!! We had a lot of sweet moments together, opening gifts was the most fun I've had in a long time.

Jason with the newest addition, Chipper! We loved cuddling with him and sitting by the fire~

I always love going to my moms house because she has the best food, she is the best decorator and she makes Christmas so beautiful, even with the way she dresses, I love dressing up on Christmas, opening gifts and eating a nice meal...thanks mom for always making sure our Christmas is nothing but first class!

So we got really into the board games this year, and I have to say, I haven't had that much fun, or laughed that hard in a long time! My mom and I were on a team, John and Dan were on a team and Jason was teamed up with Gram! These two goof balls are the winners, my mom and I laughed too much to be productive, and after you see the video of how good Jason and Gram were, you'll wonder how they didn't win ;)

My Hippie brother!

Gram was trying to make Jason curtsy, she was sooo excited to finally win a round!

~~~~~~THE WEAKLEY SIDE~~~~~~
There is nothing more refreshing than watching little kids open Christmas presents. We had so much fun with our nieces this year. We always love an excuse to get together with Kevin, Ann, Scott, Kathy and The Girls! We are so blessed to be able to spend Christmas with both sides of our family. We always miss Jasons brother Bryan who lives in Alaska so much, but this year he had a good excuse, he was getting engaged on Christmas Eve! Next year we'll have another Weakley Girl to make cookies with!
TURKEY DAY 2007
I have to say that this was one of the best Thanksgivings ever! There is something special about being in your first home, surrounded by family, eating good food, sitting by the fire, playing backyard football (and soccer) and going for a walk to look at all the Christmas lights in town,... and we did it all!
I spent about 12 hours cooking the biggest meal of my life! I made Italian Sausage Phyllo dough roll-ups, stuffed mushrooms, homemade bread, sweet potato casserole, gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry relish, stuffing, 2 pumpkin pies, chocolate cream pie, cherry pie and of course a turkey. I must say that my skills in the culinary department have vastly improved from last year. I think if I had the time, I'd cook big meals like this more often, I think it's worth all the effort. Plus, I love getting to use my China! Thanks to anyone who has every bought me a piece here or there, I finally got to use it and it was awesome!
Here are just a few pictures of our time together. The one of Jason and I is one of us after beating The Adams boys in two backyard games, soccer and football! The football game was tied and I kicked a field go smack down the middle of the up-rights to win the game, and Jason had a behind -the- back kick to score an amazing goal in soccer :) We are the 2007 champions!
We are still alive. I noticed the other day that I haven't posted since March! I guess that's what happens when you spend every waking moment cleaning, painting, organizing, and pounding away at a house. I know a lot of people have asked us to post pictures of the house. I just have to get them organized with the "before" and "after" shots so you can appreciate all the work we have done. Jason has been amazing, he has learned a ton and has saved us lots of money by doing a lot of the work himself. This project started back in March when we bought the house, and it's still not done yet, but we are living here on 209 East Dorothy Lane, and things will be done soon (I hope). For now, I'll include a few pictures of the demolition days. We had a good time to say the least. There will be more pictures to come. I'm actually going to enter our house in the Better Homes and Gardening magazine competition, because I think some of our before and afters are so amazing!
Doggie Birthday Party!
Have you ever heard that dog owners look like their dogs? Well, these next few pictures are a perfect example of that. It's kind of scary! My friend Megan, (in the white) had a birthday party for her dog who turned 1yr old. It was complete with a doggie birthday cake, "doggie bags" filled with toys and treats, and amazing food for the owners. We all met at a doggie park on a Sunday afternoon, with perfect weather and let our dogs run around a fenced in park for hours. Tootsie was by far the smallest dog there. She got run over a few times, but had tons of fun. She even played with a 165lb Great Dane, who stood 6'4" inches on it's hind legs!
Over the holidays the Weakley girls had so much fun. We spent a whole day making, decorating and eating cookies! Megan (in the picture below) had so much fun playing in the flower, that, and the blue frosting...what a mess she made...it was awesome!
Katherine, loved to decorate the "girl" gingerbread cut-outs, in pink of course! She was really good at rolling out the doe and decorating all sorts of shapes. When all the girls got tired and there were still 2 dozen cookies left to frost, Jason and I took over and just literally threw frosting on the rest. I think all together we made over a 100 cookies that day. It was so fun.
Jason and I also spent a wonderful evening with Scott and Kathy on New Years Eve. We had an amazing dinner at an exclusive restaurant, and then went to a very late night movie. It has become a tradition that I hope we keep up for years to come! Here are some pictures.
Meet Tootsie
Ok, call me a bad parent, but I just had to do it.
WE GOT RID OF SAMSON AND REPLACED HIM WITH A GIRLY DOG!
Samson just wasn't cutting it, he was mean and wasn't grateful for all we did for him. So, I finally convinced Jason to get me a puppy! We took a long time deciding, and never initially thought we'd get a Dachshund, but we did! Her name is Tootsie. She is a "Miniature". She only weighed 2.5lbs when we got her, and i think she about 6lbs now. She shouldn't get more than 10lbs. We love her, she's high maintenance, but worth it, she's sleeping with her bear right next to me right now. She's very cuddly and loves people and other dogs. So, sorry for taking so long to get these pictures up, but here she is.
This is the first time her and Samson met, it was so funny!
See...I told you she's a cuddler!
