Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was all about making our "own" traditions. Since Jason's parents were in Alaska for Thanksgiving and we usually spend it with them, we decided to have our own dinner and festivities! I unfortunately, had to work early in the morning, so I spent most of the night before preparing things. I wanted it all. The stuffing, home made gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, home made bread, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and of course, TURKEY! A 10 pounder I must add. We had enough to feed 20 people. Let's just say, we had Thanksgiving dinner for three days afterwards. It was fun though. We went for a run while the turkey cook, on a warm 60 degree day, played a few hours of scrabble, and got out the Christmas decorations. Although we missed our families and it wasn't the same, we still had fun in our own way.
